From canine registration and ownership transfer to litter records, status tracking, official certificates, and lineage claims, every action in PCR follows a defined process and passes through a review before it becomes part of the permanent registry.
PCR currently only accepts Embark DNA results for all canine registrations. Purchase your Embark DNA Kit HERE
PCR administrators control the status of every registered canine. Status changes only happen after the canine info has been reviewed.
Submission received. Awaiting admin assignment and initial document review.
Admin is actively evaluating the submission. Additional documentation may be requested.
Verified and entered into the permanent registry. The PCR ID is locked — it cannot be altered, transferred without the owner's action, or reassigned.
If a submission fails review, the canine is marked DECLINE. The owner is notified and may resubmit with corrections.
Registration and Transfer are foundational processes that keep every canine record in PCR accurate, accountable, and permanently tied to a verified owner.
Canine Registration
The member creates a canine profile, submits required DNA documentation and optional health and microchip docs. The canine holds PENDING status, no record enters the registry without verification.
A PCR administrator will evaluate the submission for accuracy and will issue PCR ID upon approval.
The PCR ID is permanently issued. The canine is publicly active on the registry and eligible for litter listings, breeding exposure, and official certificate requests.
Ownership Transfer
The current registered owner generates a one-time transfer code (OTTC) from their dashboard and shares it with the new owner. Only APPROVED canines are eligible for transfer.
The new owner enters the OTTC, confirms the canine's details, and pays the transfer fee. No re-registration is required. The canine enters a transition state while the transfer is processed.
The full PCR record, lineage, generation, documents, and history will transfer to the new owner automatically. The canine is now fully registerable under the new owner’s account.
When a litter is registered, PCR processes the entire group at once. Generation tags and individual PCR IDs are calculated from the parents’ verified registry records — not self-reported or manually assigned.
Sire and Dam PCR IDs
Whelping date, breed, and location
Per-puppy details: name, sex, color, weight, and breeding rights (Dynasty, Companion, Keeping — breeder retains the puppy. The breeder, as the placing owner, is responsible for litter registration. The kept puppy must be individually registered by the breeder to be active in the PCR registry.)
DNA documentation per puppy, optional for the breeder at litter submission; if not provided, the new owner is responsible for uploading at individual canine registration
Individual PCR IDs assigned to each puppy, linked to the litter record and parent profiles
A litter registration number that ties all siblings to the same verified group
Generation classification derived from the parents’ registry standing, not self-reported
All litter registrations begin in PENDING status, approval is not automatic and a registration fee is required
If the breeder submitted DNA documentation at litter registration, the new owner does not need to re-upload it. The new owner confirms or updates the puppy's details and pays the transfer fee to complete the claim.
If the breeder did NOT register their litter with docs, the new owner will be responsible for uploading documentation at time of transfer or registration. (Transfers are time limited and expire after 3 months, please visit our FAQ or policy for more information)
The default designation in PCR. A Dynasty canine carries no breeding restrictions, eligible as dam or sire in any PCR litter registration, with offspring entering the registry. Dynasty status reflects the placing breeder's full confidence in the canine as part of an active breeding program.
Designated by the breeder at the time of litter registration and binding by default. A Companion Rights canine cannot participate in PCR litter registrations as dam or sire. The designation is recorded in the canine's permanent PCR file, follows all ownership transfers, and cannot be changed without a formal submission to PCR administration and breeder.
Once a canine is APPROVED, two types of official PCR documents are available — each issued in digital format or printed and mailed.

Documents the canine’s permanent PCR ID, breed, classification tier, canine info and official registration date.
Available as a digital download for free or printed and mailed to your address for a fee.

An LCR is used when a registered canine's parent is found in PCR and the owner wants to establish the lineage link. The parent canine's owner is notified and given the opportunity to accept or reject the claim, with PCR later reviewing the decision and finalizing the LCR.
Eligibility: at least one APPROVED canine must already be on file under your account before an LCR can be submitted
Submit the dog’s identifying details — name, date of birth, sex, breed, color, and microchip; along with the claimed parents’ PCR IDs
All supporting documentation is uploaded at submission — a lineage declaration must be accepted before the claim can be filed
The parent canine's owner is notified and can accept or reject the claim. PCR reviews all documentation and makes the final decision — if the owner does not respond, PCR steps in directly.
Approval does not automatically create a canine record — a PCR administrator manually builds the entry after reviewing all documentation. Every dog in the registry passed through a human decision.
A member registered their Labradoodle, Ronny. Months later, they find Ronny's sire, Rocky, already registered in PCR under another member's account. They submit an LCR with Ronny's details and the sire's PCR ID. The sire's owner is notified, reviews the claim, and accepts it. PCR verifies the supporting documentation and — if satisfied — finalizes the linkage. Ronny and Rocky's pedigree is automatically updated accordingly.
